The Netherlands Institute of Government (NIG) is a network of eight Dutch universities in the fields of Public Administration and Political Science. The main aim of the network is to provide professional PhD training. I had the chance to participate in two sessions of the colloquium "Democracy, Policy Making and Citizen Participation" (DPCP). The first sessions took place in Antwerp.

25 PhD students from all over Europe met in Cork to attend the eight annual EUROLOC summer school. From July 16-25, 2003, workshops, lectures and presentations on local politics alternated with trips and excursions throughout this beautiful country. EUROLOC was hosted by the Department of Government at the University College Cork. Thanks again for this fantastic experience.You will find the offcial summer school website here.
